MEXT then in 2009 presented their results and announced the so-called New Course Study where they claimed, among other things, that English Language must be taught in English language only. Authors started to write this paper when they heard that The Ministry of Education, Culture, Sports, Science and Technology in Japan (MEXT) investigated and analyzed school curriculums for all high schools in 2009. The main idea of the paper is that English Language in Japan schools should not be taught in mother tongue – Japanese, but rather in English. Tsukamoto is currently Senior Monitoring and Evaluation Officer at International Federation of Red Cross and Red Crescent Societies and has over 16 years of working experience in humanitarian affairs.
